Twinkle and the Sluts Background Info
Biting your face off with horrible riffs, thrashing drum beats, smash your ribcage in bass lines and wash-your-mouth-out-with soap lyrics Twinkle & The Sluts are living proof that there are still bands out there who don’t aspire to be Simon Cowell’s new bitch. Not the kind of band to take home to your mother, they leave radio-friendly rock quaking in their tiny Topman plimsolls/ espadrilles or whatever new and ridiculously unpractical way of covering your feet trend there is, and are fast becoming a band who is getting recognised on the scene (not just for their imaginative band name).
MarsBands Review
Twinkle and the Sluts. If for no other reason, check them out because of the awesome name! And once you have checked them out, you will realize that the name is only the second best thing about this band. Their music is truly amazing. Filled with abrasive guitars and vocals that are reminiscent of some of the great songs of the 90s, Twinkle and the Sluts have a lot to offer your ears. Think a Punk version of STP.
A mix of Rock, Punk, and Grunge, Twinkle and the Sluts create some high-energy music that is complete with harmony, melody, and lots of power. If you believe that some language isn’t necessary in music, this isn’t the band for you. In keeping with their Punk side, Twinkle and the Sluts aren’t going to sugar-coat anything for you. They will say what they want and how they want to say it.
I was very much a fan of the music from Twinkle and the Sluts, and I think after listening to them, you will be as well. Below are a couple songs that you can listen to via ReverbNation. For all their songs, I would suggest you purchase them on Amazon MP3. You won’t find their music on iTunes as they are #TooSluttyForiTunes. Enjoy!
