You already love These United States - don’t you? You haven’t even heard them yet, but somehow, for some reason, they are now your favorite band… Weird. But really, without hearing even a bit of their music, I could just tell I was going to like them. All it took was one picture and I thought, “I bet these guys sound awesome”. I was right. Yes, I judged a book by it’s cover - er, a band by it’s cover?
These United States just look like Rockers. They aren’t all glammed up and vying for attention. At the risk of insulting the band, they dress like me - they remind me of me. I immediately connected with this band without ever hearing a note of music. Then I saw that they played Folk Rock. Folk Rock! Oh, this just kept getting better! And then I read the bio and was hooked.
The music is fantastic! It was everything I imagined it would be and more! It has a small bit of Twang with a large dash of Folk, blended thoroughly with Rock. In fact, they remind me of The Sheepdogs a bit in that they both have that Classic Rock type sound that I love and adore so much.
These United States have a fresh, Folk Rock sound that will resonate with even the pickiest of music listeners. Be it the charismatic, passionate vocals, the sound of steel strings and slide guitar, or the life-giving drums beats that you can’t help but tap your foot along to These United States will impress you. They can comfort you with their down-home vibe or catch you off guard with their explosive Rock sound. Give them a listen, you’ll be glad you did.
