Orla Gartland has amazing potential to match her amazing current talent. What is so fantastic about her, though, is that she is still so unsure of herself despite the talent. You can see it in her videos, which there are an abundance of on her YouTube page. At times she’s timid and perhaps a little shy, which is understandable considering she’s only been performing for a few years, and the fact that she’s only 17. Ya. Were you singing with the voice of a seasoned pro, writing lyrics like a master poet, and composing songs like Beethoven when you were 17?

Artists like Orla, quite frankly, make me jealous. It’s not uncommon people excel at guitar, singing, songwriting, or composing songs, but to excel at all of them is a rare treat for the ears. It’s almost unfair to have that much talent in one person and for it to, seemingly, be so easy. And just think, according to her, she’s still “finding her sound” - putting it all together. What does that mean? You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
