Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers Background Info
“We’re pretty much doing a variety of music spanning hot jazz and rhythm & blues from the ’20s to the ’50s. It’s mostly covers, a lot of obscure songs from the past. We’re just starting to do a little bit of originals.” (Kevin C. Johnson, stltoday.com)
Marsbands Review
Miss Jubilee and The Humdingers are a rare breed of Jazz, Swing, and rhythm and blues. Intensely passionate and full of energy, Miss Jubliee and The Humdingers are a must see at the Whitaker Music Festival. If you like saxophone, upright bass, snappy drums, and catchy guitar riffs, make sure you get to the Cohen Amphitheater June 13th.
Miss Julilee (Valeri Kirchoff) has a voice that is seemingly taylor made for Swing. It’s a little raspy, very strong, alluring, and perhaps even a little flirty. And the music is fantastic. Perhaps that is a biased opinion given my love for saxophone and Swing music, but the skill-set of this band is immeasurable. If dancing is your thing, you will want to make sure you make your way to their performance at the Whitaker Music Festival on June 13th.
With a perfect mix of Swing, Blues, and Jazz, MarsBands.com is willing to bet you fall in love with this exhilarating band. Check out some of their music below via Reverbnation and then check out some of their videos from YouTube.
