The Rape of Belgium, by Beyoncé

In case you missed it, MarsBands thinks Pop Stars are the worst thing to happen to music. Ever. And as proof, I offer you the latest Pop scandal that is rocking the world. Beyoncé sucks so bad, and lacks so much creativity, that she and her team of thieves have resorted to stealing creativity from other people and claiming that the Beyoncé team’s blatant plagiarism is actually just an original idea aided by inspiration. In this case, her idea was to completely steal someone’s idea and hope nobody would notice. Didn’t quite work out for her this time.

Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker

Choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, born in Belgium, 1960, is famous for her work on Rosas danst Rosas in 1983. The 51 year old is, understandably, super pissed at Beyoncé. “This is plagiarism,” claimed De Keersmaeker. “This is stealing. They took pieces from Achterland and Rosas danst Rosas.” ” What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it’s a famous work.” Perhaps the best quote to come from De Keersmaeker, however, was this:

“Am I honored? Look, I’ve seen local school kids doing this. That’s a lot more beautiful”. Ha! Suck it, Beyoncé.

Certainly the Beyonce camp has some way to calm the waters, right?

“Clearly, the ballet ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ was one of many references for my video ‘Countdown’,” Beyonce offered in a statement. “It was one of the inspirations used to bring the feel and look of the song to life.”

And in case you were thinking to yourself, “Oh, no big deal. It’s not like she’s a repeat offender or anything”, that’s where you’d be wrong. Beyoncé also used the Billboard Awards in 2011 as an opportunity to showcase an earlier act of plagarism from a Lorella Cuccarini performance in 2010. Obviously, Beyoncé is good for nothing more than being a glorified stripper. And her “team” of creative geniuses are just as worthless. Beyoncé, MarsBands.com is now your mortal enemy. It’s totally not cool to steal from little old ladies.
