The Rundown: Composed of Lance Harvill (vocals/guitar), Ben Bunker (guitar/vocals), John Hebert (drums), and Rex Brown (bass on the Arms Of The Sun album), Arms of the Sun, a Dallas, Texas band formed in 2009, are something fun to listen to. Lance Harville, aside from making some awesome music with Arms of the Sun, also has made music for lots of TV shows such as Pawn Stars, American Restoration, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and MTV’s True Life among others.
Now I’m not going to sit here and tell you I heard these guys and thought, oh boy this is the bees knees! Actually, the first thought that popped in my head was, “Holy crap, these guys are old!”. But then that would explain why these guys sound so good, because, with age comes experience. Arms of the Sun have a song called “High” that, if you didn’t know any better, you would swear it was The Beatles. It’s actually pretty awesome.
