The Rundown: Seapony is a brand new band formed in 2010, from Seattle, Washington. Danny Roland and Jen Weidl moved to Seattle and soon found Ian Brewer, a friend of Danny’s, and the trio embarked on a path of music. Seapony quickly recorded some songs and posted them online and were signed by Double Denim Records. Shortly after signing, Seapony released the single “Dreaming” which made people begin to notice them as college radio stations began to play their song.

Seapony released their first full-length album in May of 2011 called, “Go With Me“. Seapony’s sound a bit retro at times, Poppy, and of course, has a healthy element of Rock to it. When compared to mainstream radio, Seapony is totally unique. The band has a 60s/70s band type sound, similar to the way The Asteroids Galaxy Tour doesn’t sound like they belong in this decade. Some good songs by Seapony you should know about include “Where We Go“, “Dreaming“, “Go Away”, “Into the Sea” and “Blue Star“.
